During registration, we may collect the following information:

• Team name
• Participant names
• Email addresses
• Pakistani phone numbers
• Dates of birth
• Payment transaction proof, including transaction images or screenshots
• Hackathon idea description
• Project links submitted during the competition, including live website and public repository links
• Information provided during communication with the organizing team

Participants should only provide information that is required for registration and participation.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected may be used for the following purposes:

• Processing and verifying hackathon registrations
• Confirming registration within the stated timeframe
• Verifying age eligibility
• Verifying the registration payment
• Communicating important hackathon announcements and instructions
• Contacting participants regarding submissions, deadlines, judging, or other hackathon matters
• Organizing and evaluating hackathon rounds
• Conducting Google Meet discussions or project evaluations
• Issuing participation or achievement e-certificates
• Maintaining hackathon participation records
• Preventing fraudulent, duplicate, or invalid registrations
• Responding to participant questions and support requests

We will not use participant information for unrelated purposes without appropriate permission.

3. Payment Information

Participants may be required to upload a transaction image or screenshot as proof of payment.

The payment proof is collected for verification of the registration fee. Participants should avoid submitting unnecessary financial information that is not required to verify the transaction.

We do not request or require passwords, PINs, OTPs, or banking login credentials.

4. Age Eligibility

The hackathon is open to participants aged 15 to 20 years, subject to the eligibility requirements announced by the organizers.

Participants are responsible for providing accurate date-of-birth information. If a participant is under 18, they should participate with the knowledge and consent of their parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law or circumstances.

5. Project and Submission Information

Participants may be required to submit:

• Live website links
• Public GitHub repository links
• Project documentation
• Project descriptions
• Other information necessary for evaluation

Because participants are required to make their repositories public, information intentionally included in a public repository may be publicly accessible. Participants should not publish passwords, API keys, private credentials, personal information, or other confidential information in their repositories.

6. Google Meet and Online Evaluation

Shortlisted teams may be invited to Google Meet sessions for project discussions and evaluation.

Participants should understand that information voluntarily shared during such sessions may be visible to other participants or members of the organizing/evaluation team.

If any session is recorded, participants will be informed where reasonably practicable and the recording will be handled according to the purpose communicated by the organizers.

7. Data Sharing

Participant information may be accessed by authorized members of The Click Dream - Institute who require it to administer the hackathon.

We may also use third-party services necessary to operate the registration or hackathon process, such as form, hosting, communication, payment-verification, or project-hosting platforms.

We do not intend to sell participant personal information to third parties.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security, or legal obligations.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect participant information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

However, no online system or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Participants should therefore avoid submitting information that is not required for participation.

9. Data Retention

We may retain registration, payment-verification, participation, submission, and certificate records for a reasonable period after the hackathon for administrative, verification, record-keeping, and dispute-resolution purposes.

When information is no longer reasonably required for these purposes, we may delete or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal or administrative requirements.

10. Accuracy of Information

Participants are responsible for ensuring that the information submitted during registration is accurate and complete.

Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in registration rejection, disqualification, or cancellation of participation.

11. Privacy Questions and Requests

For questions regarding this Privacy Policy or requests concerning participant information, participants may contact The Click Dream - Institute through the official communication channel provided during registration.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Click Dream - Institute may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect changes to the hackathon, technology, operational procedures, or applicable requirements.

Any updated version may be published on the hackathon registration website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

13. Acceptance

By submitting the hackathon registration form, the participant acknowledges that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of their information as described above.
